Today sign up began at 8:00 A.M. mountain time zone, and shooting started at 9 A.M.
Most shooters would concur the conditions were tricky today. We had switchy winds that would change from the time sight-in was finished and the record target was shot; sometimes up to a minute of windage change. Some shooters landed their groups outside of the scoring rings of the targets, because even the flags were deceptive. Strangely, nobody had groups under two inches, but Steve fielded a new Broughton barrel in 6 Dasher and had a 2.2 inch group and held decent consistency throughout the aggregate.

The sun was out and so were the snakes. You don't have to worry about these snakes as they usually mind their own business, and they actually do the range a good deed. The snakes are of the non-venomous variety and they help keep the rodent population down. Rattlesnakes have been spotted in the past, so you must be alert, but usually aren't spotted on a typical range outing.
